Builder appointed for architecturally designed warehouse stores

C3 Construction has been named as the builder for Sector Property Group’s The Base project at 14 Simla Street, Mitcham in Victoria.

Sector Property Group announced the project late last year to meet a growing demand for trade stores right next to the Mitcham train station and important Whitehorse Road and Eastlink transport links.


The Base Mitcham is set to feature 50 storage units, five strata offices and a childcare facility with an end value of $18 million.


The development was designed for modern business, tradies looking for a modern central headquarters and people looking for storage options to fit caravans, extra cars, boats and other lifestyle equipment.

David Loakes from Sector Property Group said C3 Construction Group was selected due to their experience on delivering on two recent high-value projects in Yarraville and Point Cook.


“My relationship goes back 15 years with these guys, and we have a formidable understanding that seems to continue to improve. This is testament to the delivery of all our latest projects,” commented Mr Loakes.


The units on offer range from 6 to 8 metres in depth and 4.5 to 6 metres in width – making suitable for a wide variety of commercial uses.


The architecturally designed warehouse stores will feature shared kitchenette’s, shared meeting rooms, bathroom and shower facilities and generous carparking. The site will also feature CCTV, Wi-Fi and power connectivity to every store.


Construction is expected to commence in May 2019.
